Melbourne to Host AusRail Plus 2015

For the first time since 2008, Melbourne will be hosting AusRail Plus, the largest rail industry event in Australasia during November 24-26. A huge turnout is expected for what promises to be a highly educational conference which is also renowned for its networking and social functions. Approximately 400 companies will be exhibiting and more than 100 industry specialists will discuss the future of the rail transportation as a business in Australia as well as the exciting technological advances currently being rolled out across the industry. Detrain Team Attends Railway Interchange

The Minneapolis Convention Centre again hosted the 2015 Railway Interchange October 4-7. The largest combined railway exhibition and technical conference in North America was again a combined effort between AREMA, RSI, REMSA and RSSI organisations. The event was a huge success with over 9,000 attendees to break the attendance record. Detrain personnel attended for the first time and took particular interest in EMD’s unveiling of their first Tier 4 compliant locomotive. http://www.railwayinterchange.org

Successful Urgent Delivery from Kansas to Port Hedland

Detrain Logistics is proud to announce that it recently completed the delivery of 2 x second hand Flashbutt Welders from Kansas City, USA to Port Hedland, Western Australia. The freight was deemed urgent by the end client and as such required Detrain Logistics to charter an Ilyushin 76 Aircraft to deliver the units to meet a strict rail maintenance program. Significant planning and coordination was required for the conduct of this multi-modal logistics operation from factory to site to ensure zero delays as well as a successful result with Australian Quarantine.
